11. Frankie Sinatra - The Avalanches

Since I Left You is easily one of the best tracks of 2016.  The whole album is great, and is destined to become a true Australian classic, but this song, in particular, captures the feeling of joy, or exuberance, of happiness better than any other song released this year.  Even more than most sample-driven electronic acts the samples on the Avalanches' album really are made the stars of the production, from Tony Mottola's trip to Phoenix to Klaus Wunderlich's Latin Hustle, but this glorification of the source material is never more apparent than it is on the vocal line pulled from the Main Attraction's Everyday.

Since I Left You absolutely belongs on this list, as my 11th best song of 2016.
